What I offer

I provide counselling for adults and young people aged 16 or over. I can meet with you in person, or online. I will provide you with a safe and non-judgmental space away from the pressures of day-to-day life and the opinions of others. With my support, I hope you'll get to know yourself better, think about aspects of your life and relationships that you want to change, and to find the right way forward for you, however stuck or unhappy you may feel at the moment.

I often work with people who are neurodivergent, particularly those who think or know they are on the autism spectrum or have pathological demand avoidance. If you think this might be the case for you, or a close family member, or if you've recently had a diagnosis and want to make sense of it, then I can help talk this through with you.

I see most clients once a week for 50 minutes, at a regular time on the same day of the week. Counselling can be for an agreed number of weeks or months, or open-ended.

What it costs

I charge £70 for each 50 minute session.

Your first session

White Chair

At your first session, I'll ask a few questions to find out a little about you and what brings you to counselling. You can ask me any questions you have too. Together, we'll decide whether or not there's a good fit and whether you'd like to start regular sessions or not. There's no commitment to continue with therapy.

My approach

Sitting on the Steps

I'll invite you to talk about anything you want to, and I'll ensure you set the pace for how far and how fast we go in exploring your feelings. My role is to listen and help you reflect, without being judgemental. The counselling approach I take is psychodynamic, which means I'll sometimes help you think about early life experiences and how they might contribute to your experience of the world now.
